철학이란 무엇인가? 철학은 우리의 삶에 어떤 영향을 미치는가? 서양철학은 2500여 년 전 그리스에서 시작되었지만, 오늘 한국인의 삶과 사고에 엄청난 영향을 미치고 있다. 이 과목에서는 탈레스에서 시작하여 니체에 이르는 서양철학의 중요한 학자들과 그들의 저서를 소개하되, 역사적 사실과 지식의 나열이 아닌 그 사상이 오늘 우리의 삶과 어떻게 연결되는지를 함께 살펴본다.
Course Description/Objective
What is philosophy? How does it influence human life? Western philosophy began in Greece over 2,500 years ago, but its impact is still felt in the life and idea of Koreans. This class introduces important Western philosophers such as Thales and Nietzsche and investigates how their idea is related to our lives today.

※기말고사는 기본적인 개념이해를 묻는 단답식 5문제, 선다형 5문제, 한 줄 답안 문제 5문제로 출제됩니다. In the final exam, five short-answer questions on general concepts, five Multiple choice problems, and five one line subjective problems will be presented.
